EDGAR 9.5 Release Notes
Functional Updates to the EDGAR System From a Filer Perspective
Overview
EDGAR Release 9.5, which was moved into Production on October 30, 2006, introduces updates to the EDGARLink software, submission templates, EDGAR websites, and EDGAR host software. These updates are based on recent SEC requests and rulemaking. This document briefly describes the changes to EDGARLink (software and templates), FilerWeb, OnlineForms, Filer Management and Company Database processing for this release. Please review the EDGAR Filer Manuals (Volumes I, II) for information regarding these changes before you proceeed any further.

We made the following template updates:

-- Added required "Duty to File Reports Remains?" and "Co-Reg Duty to File Reports Remains?" fields to the following submission types: 15-12B, 15-12B/A, 15-12G, 15-12G/A, 15-15D, 15-15D/A, 15F-12B, 15F-12B/A, 15F-12G, 15F-12G/A, 15F-15D, and 15F-15D/A
-- Added a required "Accelerated Filer Status" field to the following submission types: 10-K, 10-K/A, 10-KT, 10-KT/A, 20-F, and 20-F/A
-- Minor software corrections
1. EDGARLink supports the validation of the new information in SubTemplates #1, #2, and #3 described above.
FilerWeb Updates for Release 9.5
1. We have updated the Welcome, Template Download, and EDGARLink Download pages to support the new release.
2. On the "Company Information" page, we have removed "Accelerated Filer" from the "General Information" section. We have added "Accelerated Filer Status" and "Accelerated Filer Status Period" to the "Filer Information" section. Also, on the "Edit Company Information" page, we have removed the "Check box if you are an accelerated filer (see Exchange Act Rule 12b-2)" statement and the associated checkbox.
3. On the "Company Information" page, we have added "Regulated Entity Type"
4. Updated Submission Templates #1, #2, and #3 are available for download. Also, we added the new 15F* submission types (described above) to the "Submission Types" pick list and template contents summary on the Template Download page.
5. A full installation file and a patch file for EDGARLink are available for download.
OnlineForms Updates for Release 9.5
1. We have added a new "Downloads" link from the menu frame to a new "EDGARLite Submission Template Download Options" page. This page will initially support the download of 3 TA* InfoPath template installation packages, including a template for TA-1 and TA-1/A, a template for TA-2 and TA-2/A, and a template for TA-W. New template installation packages, supporting form type assembly in structured XML, will be made available on the OnlineForms website as SEC Rulemaking progresses.
2. On the "Company Information" screen, we have removed "Accelerated Filer" from the "General Information" section. Filer Management Updates for Release 9.5
1. On the "Apply for EDGAR Access (new)" page, the "Applicant Type" pick list supports the selection of "Transfer Agent".
