  • Release 22.0.2:NEW!  On February 22, 2022, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
    • The "Update Passphrase Confirmation" page on the EDGAR Filer Management Website was updated to display the text filers enter in the now required "Reason for Update" field on the "Update Passphrase Information" screen. See "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume I: General Information."
  • Release 21.3:  On September 20, 2021, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
    • Form ID will be updated to include the following changes:

          AUTHORITIES: The information is sought pursuant to 15 U.S.C. 77a et seq., 15 U.S.C. 77aaa et seq., 78a et seq., 80a-1 et seq., and 17 CFR 232.10.
          PURPOSE: The information solicited on this form will be used to determine whether to allow applicants to make filings on EDGAR, and, where access is granted, to establish and maintain the filer's EDGAR account.
          ROUTINE USES: Uses for the information collected can be found in the System of Records Notice SEC-33: General Information Technology Records. See https://www.sec.gov/about/privacy/sorn/sec-33_sec_general_information_technology_records.pdf.
          DISCLOSURE: Providing this information is voluntary. Failure to provide the information requested on this form, however, may affect the determination whether to allow applicants to make filings on EDGAR.

        If you submit personally identifiable information (PII) in a filing by error you may amend that filing or refile it without the PII. In very rare and unusual circumstances, SEC staff will consider requests to delete a filing from the EDGAR system. You can find additional guidance here: Correct, withdraw, or delete a filing.
        This notice can be accessed by selecting the "EDGAR Privacy Notice" hyperlink on the bottom of the Home Page of the three websites.
    • The EDGAR Filer Management, EDGAR Filing, and EDGAR Online Forms Management websites will be updated to drop support for Internet Explorer (IE) and add support for Microsoft Edge.
  • Release 21.2.2:  On July 19, 2021, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
    • Starting July 19, 2021, Microsoft Internet Explorer will no longer be a supported browser for EDGAR, so it is recommended that filers use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome to access all EDGAR websites.
      The EDGAR Portal, EDGAR Filer Management Website, EDGAR Filing Website, EDGAR Online Forms Management Website, and EDGAR Company Database were updated to remove any reference to Internet Explorer.
    • Release 21.2.1:  On June 25, 2021, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Starting June 25, 2021, applicants for EDGAR access who previously used the "Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer" process will use a new application that will be available on the EDGAR Filer Management Website. This application can be accessed by selecting the "Apply for EDGAR Access: Applicants With a CIK but Without EDGAR Access Codes" hyperlink (formerly Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer) on the home page of the EDGAR Filer Management Website.
        As part of the application, filers must complete the Form ID and submit an authenticating document. Based on the CIK entered, certain sections of the Form ID will be pre-populated with information currently in EDGAR. For any information that is incorrect, filers must wait until after the Form ID application is accepted by EDGAR to correct the information through the "Retrieve/Edit Data" hyperlink on the EDGAR Filing Website. Filers registered as broker-dealers must make corrections to any information other than their email address by submitting a Form BD/A (amendment to Form BD) to FINRA's Web CRD/Gateway system. Filers will also be able to save their Form ID application and then resume the application by restoring it at a later time.
        Textual references to "Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer" will be updated to "Apply for EDGAR Access: Applicants With a CIK but Without EDGAR Access Codes (formerly "Convert Paper Only Filer To Electronic Filer.") See Chapter 2 (Quick Guide to EDGAR Filing), Chapter 5 (Constructing Attached Documents and Document Types), and Appendix B (Frequently Asked Questions) of the EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume II: "EDGAR Filing."
      • Minor text only updates will be made to the "Apply for EDGAR Access" Form ID user interface.
    • Release 21.2:  On June 21, 2021, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The EDGAR Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) screens of the EDGAR Filing Website and the EDGAR Filer Management Website were updated to remove the "EDGAR Quick Reference Guides" hyperlink. See Appendix B (Frequently Asked Questions) of the EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume II: "EDGAR Filing." Additionally, the Introduction for "Appendix B. Frequently Asked Questions" was revised.
    • Release 20.1:  On January 27, 2020, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • All SEC.gov websites, including EDGAR, will be upgraded to require Transport Layer Security 1.2. After the upgrade, all SEC.gov domains will no longer accept connections from systems and browsers using older security standards. Current versions of all major browsers are TLS 1.2 compliant. Filers and other EDGAR users should consider upgrading their browsers and systems to ensure continued ability to use EDGAR and to connect to SEC websites.
    • Release 19.2:  On June 10, 2019, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Effective June 10, 2019, an enhanced "Application for EDGAR Access (Form ID)" is available on the EDGAR Filer Management Website. This can be accessed by selecting the 'Apply for EDGAR Access (New)' link on the home page of the EDGAR Filer Management Website. As part of the online version of the form:
        • Applicants can save their Form ID application and then resume the application by restoring it at a later time.
        In addition, PDF attachments for "Application for EDGAR Access (Form ID)" and "Update Passphrase" are validated. See Chapter 3 (Becoming an EDGAR Filer) of the "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume I: General Information."
    • Release 18.3:  On October 1, 2018, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • EDGAR was updated to show submission progress once an action is submitted. The progress indicator helps prevent a filer from submitting more than one copy of a submission. This update is for the following locations: Filer Web, Online Forms Management, EDGARLink Online, or EDGAR Filer Management. See Chapter 3 (Becoming an EDGAR Filer), Chapter 4 (Generating EDGAR Access Codes), and Chapter 5 (Maintenance of Company Data) of the "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume I: General Information." See Chapter 7 (Preparing and Transmitting EDGARLink Online Submissions) and Chapter 8 (Preparing and Transmitting Online Submissions) of the "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume II: EDGAR Filing."
    • Release 18.1:  On March 12, 2018, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Form ID was updated to allow the filer to indicate whether the access codes are for submitting a draft registration or draft offering statement. See Chapter 3 (Becoming an EDGAR Filer) of the "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume I: General Information."
    • Release 17.1:  On March 13, 2017, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Filers can upload the notarized authentication document and the power of attorney as separate CORRESP documents when submitting a request to manually update their passphrase on the EDGAR Filer Management Website.
    • Release 17.0.2:  On January 30, 2017, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • EDGAR was upgraded with an enhanced authentication process to increase the security surrounding a filer's request for a passphrase update. This includes the issuance of a one-time security token which will be emailed to the registrant at the email address on record. If the email on record is not valid, the filer will need to provide authorization to have their codes reset, and in the case of a company, the request must be on company letterhead. If a Power of Attorney (POA) is provided, it must be manually signed. For more information, please refer to Section 4.1.1 of "EDGAR Filer Manual Volume I: General Information".
      • The EDGAR Portal, EDGAR Company Database, and the landing pages for all EDGAR websites were updated to remove any reference to Internet Explorer (IE) 8.0 and Firefox version 24.x, and to update the language so that vendor supported versions of IE and Google Chrome are the recommended browsers. The references to IE 8.0 and Firefox version 24.x were deleted in "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume I: General Information" and "EDGAR Filer Manual, Volume II: EDGAR Filing".
    • Release 16.0.1:  On January 25, 2016, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Filers can select the new "Funding Portal" Applicant Type when completing the process to apply for EDGAR access (New) on the EDGAR Filer Management Website.
    • Release 15.2.2:  On August 3, 2015, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • EDGAR was updated to add the following new applicant types to EDGAR Filer Management:
        • -  
          Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization
        • -  
          Security-Based Swap Data Repository
        • -  
          Security-Based Swap Dealer and Major Security-Based Swap Participant
        • -  
          Security-Based Swap Execution Facility
        These new applicant types can be selected when completing the process to apply for EDGAR access (New) on the EDGAR Filer Management Website.

    • Release 15.1.1:  On May 11, 2015, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • New filers can select the "Regulation A" option on the Form ID application to indicate that they are submitting an application for EDGAR access to file draft offering statements. If filers have an assigned Central Index Key (CIK), then they must use the existing CIK to file draft offering statements.

    • Release 15.1:  On April 13, 2015, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The "Form ID Application Confirmation" screen was updated to display four additional labels: "Signature of Authorized Person," "Printed Name of Signature," "Title of Person Signing," and "Notary Signature & Seal to be Placed Here." This screen was also updated to include a "Print Window" button to print the completed online Form ID application. The printed application can be signed and notarized by the filer to serve as the authentication document when applying for EDGAR access.

    • Release 14.2:   On October 20, 2014, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The Login and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) screens for all EDGAR websites, the EDGAR Portal, and the EDGAR Company Database have been updated to specify Internet Explorer 8.0 as the recommended browser and Firefox 24.x as an additionally compatible browser.

    • Release 14.1:   On June 16, 2014, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) screens of the EDGAR Filing Website and the EDGAR Filer Management Website have been updated to include a new "EDGAR Quick Reference Guides" hyperlink. On clicking this hyperlink, filers are presented with a list of hyperlinks to the Quick Reference Guides in the lower pane of the window.

    • Release 14.0:   On March 3, 2014, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The EDGAR Portal, EDGAR Company Database, and the login screens for all EDGAR websites have been updated to remove any references to the Netscape browser and to update the Internet Explorer (IE) version. In addition, the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) screens for EDGAR websites have been updated to remove references to the Netscape browser and to update the IE and Firefox browser versions, as applicable. For EDGARLink Online application, recommended version for Firefox browser is being changed from 3.5 to 17.0 or higher. For all EDGAR websites, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 or later is the recommended browser.

    • Release 12.2:   On October 1, 2012, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • New filers may select either the "JOBS Act §106" or "Foreign Private Issuer Policy" option on the Form ID application to indicate that they are submitting an application for EDGAR access to file Draft Registration Statements. These options will replace the "Access codes will be used to submit draft registration statement" check box. If the filers already have an assigned EDGAR Central Index Key (CIK), then they must use the existing CIK.

    • Release 12.1:   On July 2, 2012, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • EDGAR and Regulation S-T will require the authenticating document for Form ID submissions to be submitted in electronic format as a Portable Document Format (PDF) attachment. Filers should no longer fax the Form ID authentication documents for the requests to apply for new EDGAR access, update passphrase, convert paper only filer to electronic filer, and access for new serial companies.
      • An "Application to file under Draft Submission Program" option will be added to the Apply for EDGAR Access (New) screen of the EDGAR Filer Management Website. This option is for Foreign Private Issuers and JOBS Act filers to indicate they are submitting CIK requests under the Draft Submission Program.

    • Release 12.0:   On March 26, 2012, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • The maximum size of a submission, including all attached documents, through EDGAR Online Forms Management and EDGAR Filer Management Website will be 200 MB.
      • The Confirmation and Acknowledgement screens on the EDGAR Filer Management website, which currently display the filer support fax numbers, will be updated to include the new fax numbers for Corporation Finance, Investment Management, and Trading and Markets Divisions.

    • Release 11.3:   On November 21, 2011, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Filers may now select an additional Applicant Type, 'Municipal Advisor', when completing the process to apply for EDGAR access (New) on the EDGAR Filer Management website. The applicant types "Investment Company (or insurance product separate account) or Business Development Company" and "Non-Investment Company Applicant under the 1940 Act" is renamed to "Investment Company, Business Development Company or Insurance Company Separate Account" and "Non-Investment Company Applicant under the Investment Company Act of 1940", respectively.

    • Release 11.2:   On August 1, 2011, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Four additional applicant types will be available for the filers to select when completing the Form ID to apply for EDGAR access codes. These additional applicant types are Institutional Investment Manager (Form 13F Filer), Investment Company (or insurance product separate account) or Business Development Company, Large Trader, and Non-Investment Company Applicant under the 1940 Act.

    • Release 11.1:   On March 28, 2011, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows:
      • Filers may now upload the required notarized authentication document in Portable Document Format (PDF) when completing the process to Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer from the EDGAR Filer Management website (https://www.filermanagement.edgarfiling.sec.gov)
      • Broker-dealers, who must now file electronically, will be required to complete the process of Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer from the EDGAR Filer Management website. Once a Broker-Dealer has completed this process and received the necessary access codes, they will be able to file electronically in EDGAR.

    • Release 10.3:   On August 30, 2010, the Filer Management Website was updated as follows: The initial screen of the EDGAR Filer Management Website will display a message warning the filers that they are about to enter a federal computer website.

    • Release 10.0:  On February 08, 2010, the Filer Management website was updated as follows:
      The EDGAR state/country list of values has been updated to include the following additions and deletions. Fields that allow the selection of state/country on the Form ID have been updated with these values. Please see the SEC website for the complete list of EDGAR states and countries.

    • Release 9.16:   On July 20, 2009, the Filer Management website was updated as follows:
      The Update Passphrase and Convert Paper Only Filer to Electronic Filer print screens now display "Printed Name of Signature" and "Title of Person Signing". Both of these are currently required on the paperwork that is required to be faxed to the SEC.
    • Release 9.5:   The Filer Management website has been updated in support of EDGAR Release 9.5 that went into production on October 30, 2006.   For a summary of all Release 9.5 updates, see the Release Notes.   The capabilities provided for this Filer Management website are briefly described above. More detail may be found in the EDGAR Filer Manual.
